If you require assistance but are out of the normal office contact hours then rest assured as a team of experienced social workers are put into place to respond to Kirklees residents who have urgent needs when the social care offices are closed.

There are normally two social workers on duty, one after 1am in the morning. All social workers are qualified in childcare and child safeguarding, and most are Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act (1983). The Emergency Duty Service social workers are on duty to help both adults and children.
